A father, Robert, and his niece, Haley, are organising a 3 Peaks Challenge in memory of much loved son and brother – Lee and Ross – who lost their lives to drug addiction. They wanted to help a local charity who had connections with drug use and the devastation it causes to families, and The Luke and Marcus Trust was their chosen charity.
They are currently training, along with many of their friends and supporters, in readiness for their challenge on Saturday 1st September. We wish them all the very best of luck. The following day Sunday 2nd September, they are holding a Fun Day at Thornhill Rugby Club. Bouncy castle for the children, tombola, raffle etc. We at The Luke and Marcus Trust are contributing towards the food fayre, and would encourage our members to support this happy event. Hopefully our members will be taking some cakes, I will definitely make some cheese scones and Victoria sandwich cake.
We are obviously very sad for Robert and Haley’s we at The Luke and Marcus Trust are only too well aware of the devastation drugs can cause a family! At the same time we are very appreciative that Robert and Haley have chosen to support our Trust and try to raise some funds so that we can continue with our work.
The Luke and Marcus Trust would like to wish Robert and Haley all the best on their 3 Peaks Challenge and hopefully the sun will shine on them! Good luck.
