On Saturday 12 August, several of our members went to Beverley in East Yorkshire on our annual retreat. As per usual it was a lovely weekend with lots of laughter and time to chat over coffee, and of course Pims supplied by our dear friend Margaret P.
The weather was glorious apart from a shower later on the Saturday afternoon but the sun reappeared in the evening. We have been going away for several years now, about 10, and we are very fortunate in that the sun usually shines for us, we like to think that our children are shining down on us.
The year can be very difficult for our members so it is extremely important that we are able to get away from it all and be amongst friends who understand and support each other. We are all at different stages with our grief but this does not dampen our spirits!!!!!!
