Lesley and Marilyn visited St John Fisher School again this year on Wednesday 5th July. The pupils were very attentive and a good report followed which we hope to publish shortly. We not only warn of the dangers of Cannabis and its effect on the brain, but we explain how drugs use within a family affects every member of that family. That it is not only ‘their lives’ but those of all who love them. We also explain what ‘addiction’ means, and how easily it is to become addicted. We explain what our sons told us and how they dearly wished they had never started with that one ‘spliff’. This seems to be something they would probably have not thought about, and really makes an impact. After each talk we leave books for each study group which explains the dangers of Cannabis, both on the brain and how it is a ‘gateway’ drug.
